To make a difference in business, politics and the community. Funds raised through membership subscriptions and an annual program of events are primarily provided to aligned political parties to urge their reelection campaigns. As per the Constitution, The 500 Club was established to : Produce a central reference point for members and other persons who promote free enterprise objectives to confront and exchange views and ideas. To bear financial and other urge for conservative political organizations and representatives supporting free enterprise principles. To establish and promote programmed designed to improve the relationship between cautious politicians and the business community and cautious politicians and members and other persons. To concur with other associations, institutions and instrumentalities with objectives same to those of the Club in providing a joint approach on issues of protection for the members of the Club.

The object was to bring together leaders of the business and professional community in the interests of promoting Liberal philosophy. There is undoubtedly a need for the business and professional community to flourish a rapport with Liberal politicians at both State and Federal level, to ensure that the Party and its politicians are in touch with the views of its supporters and that its supporters can communicate easily with Shadow Ministers and Members of Parliament. Speakers at functions will be chosen from senior politicians from around the world, leading business people, distinguished citizens, be it sport, culture or whatever. An interesting forum is undoubtedly a fertile scene for our members to combine with our politicians.

In 1986, three years into a Work led state government, 150 of Perth’s leading business and community people formed The 500 Club. Over the end 30 years, The 500 Club has supported cautious politics at both state and federal levels, by becoming much more than a fund raising organization.
