Passel Estate Winery

Wendy and Barry Stimpson, the owners, came from England and South Africa, respectively. They moved to Margaret River in 2005 and in 2011 they found the property that now comprises Passel Estate Winery.

The vineyard was planted in 1994. The first plantings was Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon. Eventually, Chardonnay and additional Shiraz were established. In the north/south area rows are used, while a VSP trellis system is used in the area.

When crafting the Passel Estate range, Bruce Dukes uses science. He takes an approach to winemaking that he has learnt while receiving a formal education. His approach is based in enology, agricultural science and viticulture. Furthermore, he has over 20 years of industry experience. All of these reasons are why he is a highly decorated winemaker.

Passel Estate is a unique place and the wines are an expression of that. In fact, the wines have a unique smell and they are well-balance. They are also designed by their structure. It's fair to say that wines from Passel Estate are rare, especially considering the volumes are small, but of high quality. As soon as you smell and sip a wine from Passel Estate, you'll realize just how different it is from any other wine out there, and this is in part to the single vineyard focus of those who run Passel Estate.
